Dasuquin is made by Nutramax Labs, specializing in dog care supplements. When visiting their website I learned about Dasuquin, which is a complex of glucosamine hydrochloride, chondroitin sulfate, and avocado/soybean powder / components. They all together support joint and bone health basically by inhibiting the cartilage breakdown and further damage. This is something I was interested in long run.

You should be able to get it through your veterinarian, as this supplement is supported by veterinarians.

Unfortunately I found it to be very expensive buying from veterinarian. So I looked for better and more affordable solution.

Nutramax Dasuquin with MSM for Large Dogs

Fortunately I found better solution to save a little money and found the product on Amazon.com, where Dasuquin  actually made it to the top level and is #1 best selling in Dog Bone & Joint Health Supplements and received great reviews.

Dasuquin comes with MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) or without MSN. MSM is a sulfuric compound, helping the healing processes and joint flexibility. It is up to you what you will choose. I see many benefits to MSM compound.I opted for the MSM option, because it is more complex and MSM helps to support cartilage . ( it is a little more expensive, though). Dasuquin comes in soft chews or tablets. The difference is in consistency and it seems, that chews are better taken by dogs. Depending on the size of your dog, you can choose the Dasuquin for small, medium or large dogs. The dosage of the chondroitin is according to the weight of the dog.Because glucosamine pills are pretty big I opted for dasuquin soft chews, which my dog Hector loves. Very easy to administer….

Why I like Dasuquin for pets as a dog owner :

• it helped my dog
• chewable tablet- easy to feed to my dog
• comes for big dogs, medium and small dogs – decide, which dose is the best for the size of your dog
• with MSM or without MSN ( MSN is methylsulfonylmethane, and it is good for the cartilage)- some dog owners like to have a choice
• supported by veterinarians- most veterinarians will prescribe the supplement, but you do not need RX to buy it online
• the most important : I liked the dog owners reviews – I found very good reviews on Chewy.

I did not like the price. As a supplement it is quite expensive. Buying directly from my veterinary office was even more expensive. I am buying it much cheaper from Chewy. The good thing is : this supplement works !

I know how disappointing it is to buy supplements which do not help and  do not work! That why I strongly recommend this supplement. Yes, it is more expensive than other joint supplements, but trying many of those, neither helped so fast and with positive evidence as Dasuquin did. ( note: I tried only Dasuquin with MSN , my dog was really in bad shape and it was not time to experiment any longer).

Do not waste money and precious time on other glucosamine supplements. The combination of ingredients in Dasuquin is the best. I found, that buying on Amazon with free shipping is the most cost effective.

is a form of Dasuquin, which makes it easy for some dogs to take. This may be better option for some dogs. If your dog refuses to take pills, use these soft chews. They taste as a treat, so usually dogs love them. The package lasts for long time. The good thing about this is , that here is used the form of glucosamine  with chondroitin sulfate, which absorbs better than the chloride . Because of it good results are visible faster. My dog loves them and he things they are treats. They are easy to take. I keep all dog’s medications in the refrigerator, so they last longer.
